NJCAR Bi-Annual Meeting

The NJCAR Bi-Annual Meeting was held at the Taylor Pavilion in Belmar, NJ on Febaruy 21, 2019.

The first talk was given by Joe Barris, Assistant Director of the Monmouth County Planning Board, and Monmouth County Arts Chair. Joe spoke on Monmouth County Arts and Resilience.

The keynote was given by Lisa Auermuller, Assistant Manager, Rutgers University Jacques Cousteau Coastal Education Center. Lisa spoke about "Global Warming and Climate Change Effects on Disaster Preparedness".

About NJCAR:

NJCAR’s primary aims are to prevent and mitigate the loss of cultural and historic resources in the event of a disaster and to serve as a statewide resource.

The functions and duties of NJCAR are to engage in the following activities:

Conduct regular steering committee meetings to address pertinent issues regarding emergency preparedness and response.
